INTERVIEW:
If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
Definitely the future. We all know the past, but I would be the only one who knew the future, how great is that?

What is one book everyone should read?
The Neverending Story - it is such a beautiful book.

If you were a superhero what would your name be?
The Blizzard!

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
The power of mindreading. I would use it on my kids to always know if they were lying.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Blueberry

If you could meet one person who has died who would you choose?
Jesus!

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
Softboiled egg.

Skittles or M&Ms?
M&Ms. I love anything with chocolate.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
Because it keeps you on the edge of your seat, is warm with a touch of darkness, is death that meets life with a twist.

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
I have written three books in this series and am planning to write three more. There is so much more to tell in this story, so I will be busy for quite awhile.

What inspired you to want to become a writer?
I have always been writing. Ever since I was a small child. I have always told stories to whoever would listen. In school I remember sitting in class during recess and telling stories to my friends making them forget that they were about to go out and play. Even my teacher would often listen in as well. Later I would write stories for my teacher and he loved to read them. I kept writing short-stories in highschool and then I became a journalist. For many years I worked at a Danish TV-station, and it was then I came up with the idea for my first novel. A Danish truck-driver had been found dead in Poland and I was sent there to cover the investigation for the TV-station. Two years later that story became my first mystery novel. Since then I wrote two other mystery-novels that has been published in Denmark, Norway and Germany.
When I moved to Florida I started writing in English and published another mystery-novel called “One, Two … He is coming for you” but then I wanted to try something new. I wanted to write for a younger audience and that was when I wrote the fantasy-novel “The Eye of the Crystal Ball” that came out this June. But I still felt like something was missing and then I started reading some Paranormal Romance. I immediately knew that I wanted to write something like that, so I did.

What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen?
The Neverending Story by Michael Ende.

What's one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Be patient. Everything about being a writer takes time - a lot of time.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Just where I am right now - in Florida. I think it is paradise on Earth.

What is your favorite Quote?
"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.” ― Ernest Hemingway

How do you react to a bad review?
I take in a really deep breath and then I read it to see if there is anything I can learn from it. I try hard not to take it personally and instead use it as a tool to get better.

If you were a bird, which one would you be?
An eagle. Or maybe a pelican - they are more fun.

What's your favorite season/weather?
Summer and sunshine. Whenever I am not writing I try to spend the day at the beach with my family.

Interview:

If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
Definitely the future. I am so curious. I mean we know most of the past from the history lessons, but nobody knows the future.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?
A cellphone to call for help, a book to read while I waited and a sandwich to eat so I wouldn't go hungry.

If you could meet one person who has died who would you choose?
Jesus, but I hope to meet him anyway when I die, so I will pick Karen Blixen.

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
Because it is an awesome adventure for anyone who likes to use their imagination.

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
I have another book coming up in august and a sequel for "The Eye of the Crystal Ball" that I will write afterwards.

What inspired you to want to become a writer?
I have always wanted it, but became a journalist instead. When I was fired from my job at a Danish TV-station due to cut-backs, I knew I had to follow my dream.

Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
Feedback from readers. It is always about the readers. When they write you an e-mail telling you that they loved the book, that is an incredible feeling.

If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world, which would it be?
I would go with Captain Nemo under the sea in his sub-marine Nautilus.

What was your favorite book when you were a child/teen?
I read and reread "The neverending story" over and over again and all of Jules Verne's books but I also remember reading Wild Swans by chinese writer Jung Chang and being blown away.

What's one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Just do it. Write and write and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it!

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I already live there. In Florida. This is truly a paradise.

What is your favorite Quote?
"You are never too old to set another goal or dream another dream," said by C. S. Lewis.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
A writer. I never wanted anything else.

How did you know you should become an author?
I have always had a lot of stories and characters in my head that wanted to come out and as a child I told stories to everyone who would listen. My teachers kept telling me to keep it up and keep writing. I write because I can't stop.

If you were a bird, which one would you be?
A pelican. They are the most awesome birds.
