#BIR2010 - Book Giveaway: Nevermore by Kelly Creagh + Author Interview

Welcome to Author Kelly Creagh.  Kelly's debut novel Nevermore was released on August 31st.  Kelly has agreed to do an interview and then has a book giveaway.

Interview:

If you could invite any 5 people to dinner who would you choose?
Edgar Allan Poe (he’s a given,) J.K. Rowling, Severus Snape, Tim Burton and the Poe Toaster. If I didn’t pass out from the sheer epicness of this supper, I would probably at least have the occasional hysterical outburst of utter glee.

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
Although I’m afraid of heights, I’ve always wanted to fly. I used to day dream about flying when I was a kid. I’d put on my headphones, play instrumental music and imagine myself as a kick-butt girl superhero. For some reason, my costume consisted of exercise wear, complete with legwarmers. I think I’ve always had a skewed sense of fashion.

When you were 12 years old what did you want to be when you grew up?
A ninja. Or an actress. Whichever panned out first.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
I like my ice cream like I like my coffee—the longer the name, the better. Varen’s favorite ice cream also happens to be mine own. Chocolate Almond Coconut Fudge.

If you could meet one person who has died who would you choose?
Can you guess? ;)

Which fictional character would you most like to meet?
Severus Snape. I have a huge crush. He’s the ultimate anti-hero.

What's your favorite music genre? Favorite artist? Song?
I have very eclectic tastes when it comes to music. I like everything from bluegrass to heavy metal. My favorite type of music, however, is alternative rock. My favorite bands are Muse, My Chemical Romance and Alaska in Winter. I especially love music with dreamy and surreal undertones.

Is there anything you need in order to write? (ie Chocolate, quiet, music)
Music. I always have my headphones on when I’m writing. I have the big Skullcandy kind, which I call my “robot ears.” I also like to have a cup of coffee handy.

Skittles or M&Ms?
M&Ms. Totally. Your options are limitless. Chocolate and Peanuts, chocolate and peanut butter, chocolate and almonds. For me, chocolate is always the key ingredient to any desert.

Favorite Cartoon?
Spongebob. What can I say? I freaking love the guy.
