Tempest Unleashed
Tempest Maguire is happy with her decision to embrace her mermaid nature and live among her mother’s clan within the ocean’s depths. Even though training to one day ascend the throne for the aging mermaid queen is rigorous, she finds refuge in the arms of Kona, the selkie who first opened her up to her mermaid side. But when word comes that one of her brothers has been gravely injured on land, Tempest immediately rushes to his side—which also brings her back to her old flame, Mark. And in her absence, a deadly battle begins raging at the hands of Tempest’s old nemesis, the sea witch Tiamat. As the dangerous war erupts, Tempest’s two loves—Kona and Mark, sea and land—will collide for the first time, both to protect her and to force her to choose.

ReplyDeleteOh my god I have TONS of favorite authors but the first one that came to mind was Cassandra Clare as I'm reading her new books now and they are AMAZING! I can't stop talking about them and I recommend them to everyone I meet. I love her writing.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant use of Haiku for your interview answers!! You creative types...I'm envious! i could not have come up with something like that (or if I did, it would have taken me at least 24 hours of serious thinking!). I have to kind of fudge a wee bit on the answer and break this into my favorite *historical* author and my favorite *current* author :). Favorite historical author is definitely Charlotte Bronte, while my favorite current author is George R.R. Martin (and has been for years and years...and years...oh lord why does he take so long to write books?!). But I'm finding a lot to like in today's "indie" authors who are taking the world by storm lately!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite author because there just are way too many good ones! I do however, really enjoy Cassandra Clare, Richelle Mead, Sarah Dessen, J.K. Rowling, and so many more :D Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite author because I read a lot of books. There is a lot of authors that I like, but no one in particular that is my favorite. I say this because each author have their own writing style and their themes and stories are all different, so it is hard to favorite just one particular author. I like L.J. Smith, R.L. Stine, Christopher Pike, V.C. Andrews, J.K. Rowling, etc. I haven't read any books by Tracy yet, but I look forward to reading 'Tempest Rising' and hopefully her books will become one of the things I anticipate. :)
ReplyDeleteTempest has a sequel? Awesome! I read the first book as part of a Debut Author challenge last year.
ReplyDeleteFave author? Tamora Pierce, hands down, although some of that might be because she has /so many/ amazing books.
I think my overall favorite authors are Jane Austen and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Some of my favorite more recent authors include Maggie Stiefvater, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Cassandra Clare!
ReplyDeleteI think Tempest is a great character, there is a part of her that I can relate; whether be in her choices. To quote J.K.Rowling, it is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. Great interview!
ReplyDeletePhilip Pullman is one of my favorite authors!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many I like. I love YA paranormal series.
ReplyDeleteWow, there are soooo many. Right now I'm reading Passion and I absolutely adorable Lauren Kate, so let's choose her for today. :)
