Interview
If you could travel in
a Time machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
I’d
choose the past to see my grandmother again. I miss her so much and would want
to tell her how much I love her and how much she meant to me.
What is one book everyone
should read?
Thirteen
Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I just finished this one and it is so awesome, compelling, and really makes
you think about the things you do and say to others and how it can affect them.
Loved it!
Pet Peeves
Making
a left-hand turn on a busy street without a traffic light. One word—annoying.
People
who bully others.
If you could choose any
superpower what would you choose?
The
power to heal people. Second choice? To fly.
What inspired you to
become a writer?
I
always liked the written word and loved doing writing assignments in high
school, but when my son, Gabriel was little, I wanted to write a book for him.
Gabriel Stone and the Divinity of Valta is the very first book I wrote—for him.
How cool to get to write a book where your little boy is the hero, right?
When you were little,
what did you want to be when you grew up?
A
dolphin trainer. *Grin*
What is the best advice
anyone has ever given you?
Never
give up on your dreams.
If you could invite any
5 people to dinner who would you choose?
Dr.
Phil, Steven Spielberg, J.K Rowling, Oprah, Maya Angelou. These people seem
wise and deep. I love those kinds of conversations over an awesome glass of
wine.
What’s your favorite
word?
Serendipity.
Pretty, right? (I named our boat Sweet Serendipity)
Do you write as you go
or do you have the book all planned out from page 1?
I’m
somewhere in the middle—maybe more as I go. I do like to plot the basic
storyline out in my head and take notes, then go with the flow, otherwise known
as my overactive brain.
Night owl or early
bird?
Night
owl
Sweet or Salty?
Salty
Summer or Winter?
Summer

She seems like such a cool person! I completely agree that everyone needs to read 13 Reasons Why! And look at that flying tiger on the cover of her book! Gasp!
