Thankful Thursday 2/28

This is not a "new" idea.  Thankful Thursday has been around for years.  Back when I was regularly posting on my personal blog I often put up a Thankful Thursday post. I searched the internet looking for the originator of the idea but it is hosted on so many different blogs I couldn't begin to guess who gets the credit for it.  My personal blog doesn't get posted on anymore but I've been thinking a lot about gratitude lately.  I'm going to be putting up a Thankful Thursday post regularly on this blog.  Sometimes it will be about reading or blogging and other times it will be more personal.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

It's been one of those weeks and I've really had to take sometime to think of something I'm thankful for.  I decided that I'm most grateful today for my 5 children.  They are the source of both my greatest trials and my greatest joys. This week has brought more trials than joy but I am lucky and grateful to have them!

There is always something to be grateful for.  What are you thankful for?

I invite you to join me....  Put up your own post, leave a comment or just take a minute to think of something you are grateful for.

  1. Children make a important thankful post, especially during those hard weeks that they are mostly trails. It's good to remember how much happiness they bring, too. As for our house, everyone has been sick for a week. Seems like it's been that a lot this winter and it's made me very grateful for when we're all healthy.

  2. I'm always thankful for my kids. My daughter turned 2 today, so I'm definitely thankful for it being her birthday! :) I actually have been e-mailing people every day this week to thank them for something from the past. I've received some nice responses in return. Some of these "thank yous" were about a woman taking a chance on me for a job, a friend helping me feel better when i was feeling homesick in college, a friend who reached out to me a long time ago and now i'm close with his wife, and a book publicist who showed me the errors of my ways, saving my blog from bad publicity doom. :)

  3. This is an example of what a wonderful mother you are! A character of strength for her children. You inspire me. Thanks.

  4. Agreed! My three children are the source of my greatest joy and my greatest frustration, but I would not be without the. Together forever.

  5. Awww! Our kids are such a huge blessing. As mine get older, I miss them when they stay over night at friends' houses... it's so nice to have them HERE :-).

I'm thankful for a career that aligns well with my health issues and lets me work from home. So, so lucky!
