2 Year Blogoversary Giveaway!

I just realized today is my blog's 2 Year Blogoversary.  In all honesty with everything going on in my life right now I've seriously considered closing this blog down as it is currently feeling like a burden instead of something I love doing.  I hate the fact that I've committed to put up posts for authors & publishers and have not been able to do so.  I've not got a review posted in weeks and haven't had time to read anything recently.  I have over 300 emails I need to read and respond to and dozens of giveaways I need to draw winners for. Each day I fall further and further behind.

My leg is healing and I'll be up and around in about a month but the prognosis for my son is still unknown.  I don't want to make a hasty decision and then regret it later. For now I'm going to keep this blog open and just do what I can until my son is doing better and I am back on my feet.

Thank you to all those who have sent kind messages and kept Brett & me in your prayers.

  14. Don't let the blog get you down. Instead of looking at it like a chore, try to see it as a release for you, just a small escape that you can get to when you can. I am praying for you and your son for speedy recoveries. And if there is anything I can do I would be more than happy to since you are such a sweet person. You do what you can and that's all you can do. They will understand and if they don't: well pooie on them!

  16. Happy Blogoversary! Two years of Chaos running supreme is a fete few people can keep up with. You have done an admirable job. I enjoy visiting your spot and hope you will be able to continue...but not at the expense of your health or that of your family. Good luck to you and hope you are all feeling and doing better soon.

  68. Happy blogoversary! I absolutely understand what you mean about having to flake on commitments because of time constraints. This blog is a huge commitment, and you're not alone in occasionally wanting to walk away. And, as much as I enjoy your reviews, interviews, and giveaways, we all understand that real life comes first. If the blog is more chore than fun, take a break! Delegate reading/reviewing responsibilities. Life is too short to be stressed about something that should be a stress relief.

And also, best of luck on continued healing!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Happy Blogoversary! You've got an awesome blog, you should really be proud of it:)

there are many things I'd like to say, but first of all happy blogiversary. You've been FANTASTIC for the bloggers community and achieved so much in such a short time. Kudos for all you've accomplished, for all your help and incredible giveaways, blog hops and all your website has provided. On your blog I found a home away from home and I'm forever grateful.
I honest would feel a HUGE loss if you'd close the site. But I also know that family is more important than anything else. Do what you have to do.
Lots of love and prayers sent your way!

  90. Happy Blogovesary!! Blogging is supposed to be fun. If it isn't fun, then you are not going to want to do it any more. I say, just post when you feel like it. If that means you have to take a break for a little while with no posts, then do that. Or if you have to post less often, then you can do that. It's all up to you. Just remember to keep having fun!

  155. Congrats on your blogoversary! Quite an achievement. I'm not aware of your personal issues but those things always come first. I'm wishing you all the best with thoughts of happiness and health. I hope things turn around and start looking bright again really soon. Take care!

  156. I'm sorry that your blogoversary can not be a time of celebration. It's obvious how hard you work at your blog, so I can imagine the stress of falling behind can get overwhelming, especially when there are so many important concerns in your life. Don't forget to breathe and count your blessings. Family always comes first, and we're all hoping for your son's good health, and your speedy recovery.

  172. First and foremost, take care of yourself and your son. Stress slows healing. Give yourself a break. As much as we would like to think it, there are no Wonder Women...just Wonderful Women! Take some time for healing yourself and caring for your family. Life is too short to stress about a blog. Enjoy your time with your family, my friend! God Bless!
