2012 Debut Author Giveaway Hop
Hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer & The Non Reluctant Reader
June 7th to 13th
Featuring books released in 2012 by Debut Authors
I've struggled to get this post up because I've been in the hospital. I haven't had any computer access so I'm sorry this is late!
I'm reading the book Cinder by Marissa Meyer right now. It seems like an appropriate book to offer for giveaway as I'm feeling a little cyborg like with all the titanium that is now a permanent part of me.
Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, the ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.
So for this Debut Author Hop I am offering a copy of Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
I'll ship a paperback copy from Amazon or The Book Depository or gift a Kindle copy to the winner.
I will do my bet to try to get this linky update throughout the day today but my computer access is very limited.
I have heard pretty good things about this one. Thank you for the giveaway..

Great giveaway, as usual! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway- I hope you feel better ASAP, and heal quickly and cleanly. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI listened to Cinder on my ipod and loved it. I would love to get an actual copy though. Hope you recover soon!
ReplyDeleteEveryone on Armchair BEA is talking about this :)
ReplyDeleteUm...your poor leg!!!!!!!!!! But, with the funny Cinder comparison, it is obivous you have a wonderful attitude!
I love the idea of a fairy tale combined with dystopian. Thanks for hosting and for the giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway. Sorry to hear about your new robo leg.

Wow that's some serious metal you've got going on there! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteI can see the resemblance! I hope you'll recover soon. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. My sister has a rod and srews in her leg she has had them for about 15 years. Hoping you have a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteThat's sorta neat that your giveaway coincides with what's going on. In an ironic-oh-god-why-does-it-have-to-be-ironic kind of way!
ReplyDeleteI have some metal in me as well from my previous surgeries, but since I was a kid at the time it's not much. I don't beep when I go through metal detectors, but I do still flinch a little anticipating that the machines will get stronger eventually, then it will be like uh-oh. Perhaps I need to get my doctors on speed dial for the near future!
Hope your recovery is going well!
What a nice hop. It's so nice to focus on debut authors. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBless your heart! Those pictures are pretty cool esp seeing them right by the Cinder cover, but I hate the reason you have them up :( Hope you have a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteYou really did do a number on your ankle. Hope you feel better soon! Thanks for the giveaway too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I read this as soon as I was able to borrow it from the library. It was AMAZING! I loved the story of Cinderella as a cyborg. I would love to own my own copy!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway :)
I'm so sorry to hear about your leg but I admire your sense of humor about it. May your recovery be swift!
ReplyDeleteThat was definitely a bad break! Again, I hope you recover quickly. I loved Cinder, so thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOw ow ow ow ow. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteI already own a copy of Cinder, so I'm not entering this awesome giveaway. I Loved it though! it's a fantastic book and whoever wins is in for a real treat.
ReplyDeleteMainly I wanted to say I hope you mend quickly!
Thank you, Kathy - you're right, your leg really does look like the cover of Cinder!!! Hope you get better soon. Thank you for the giveaway - you are an absolutely dedicated trooper to even be giving something away after the whole "I broke my leg" thing :) Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteThose are you?
Wow I feel for you right now but those are awesome x-rays!
It does look like the cover!
I hope you keep getting better!
Take it slow!
Nice to see you back, and kicking? Remember when you weigh yourself from now on subtract the pins. It will make you feel better than the rest of us who have to lift their hair (like me) or blame the water from the shower (like my ex.) :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's not at all funny what happened to you, but that post was hysterical, with the x-rays, reading Cinder and feeling like the book cover. Hope you're mending quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. I hope you feel better soon; that looks so painful!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about your troubles>
