I love to receive free books in the mail.
Unlike most avid readers I don't have a huge personal library.
I believe books should be read and then shared instead of sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
This unique belief could mean free books for you.
I will be hosting Nearly New Books For You Giveaways. At least 3 books will be offered each giveaway.
The winner of the giveaway will get to choose which book they want. All books are in good condition and have only been read once.
I'm offering:
Giveaway is open only to those over the age of 13 with a US mailing address. Must be a blog follower to enter. Giveaway closes 2/4/11. Winner will be chosen from all eligible entries by the Random Number Generator. To enter you must fill out the Form.

ReplyDeleteI have the belief as you. Books sitting on my shelf after being read does me no good, as I usually don't reread them. Other than a few that I just LOVED, most of my books get swapped for another on paperbackswap.com. ARCs are usually donated to the reading program at my son's school.
When I started sending the ARCs in, the reading teacher became curious about how I got them, so we had a great meeting about how I sometimes end up with one (through contests mostly) and what they are for--read and reviewed and feedback given to the author and publisher. This started a whole new conversation about social networking with other readers and I introduced her to Goodreads(and other sites), which she had never heard of, and she's now encouraging her students to track and review the books (especially the ARCs!) they are reading. She says this is helping some of her students who are more competitive with their friends about how many books they read. When I met with her, she had one of the ARCs on her desk that I had sent in that she was personally reading, and it had stickies stuck to the front from vice principals and other teachers who want to read the book next, a kind of wait list! The kids may not get to read this one until next year. She's also PBS'ing some of the older books that the students are no longer interested in and swapping them for newer books. But I've gotten off track...a read book on my shelf, which I've cleared with my family that they don't plan to read, definitely gets passed on!
