RAK
Book Soulmates
RAK from Rebecca at Everyday Life
There You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones

Grief brought Finley to Ireland. Love will lead her home.

Finley Sinclair is not your typical eighteen-year-old. She's witty, tough, and driven. With an upcoming interview at the Manhattan music conservatory, Finley needs to compose her audition piece. But her creativity disappeared with the death of her older brother, Will.

She decides to study abroad in Ireland so she can follow Will's travel journal. It's the place he felt closest to God, and she's hopeful being there will help her make peace over losing him. So she agrees to an exchange program and boards the plane.

Beckett Rush, teen heartthrob and Hollywood bad boy, is flying to Ireland to finish filming his latest vampire movie. On the flight, he meets Finley. She's the one girl who seems immune to his charm. Undeterred, Beckett convinces her to be his assistant in exchange for his help as a tour guide.

Once in Ireland, Finley starts to break down. The loss of her brother and the pressure of school, her audition, and whatever it is that is happening between her and Beckett, leads her to a new and dangerous vice. When is God going to show up for her in this emerald paradise?

Then she experiences something that radically changes her perspective on life. Could it be God convincing her that everything she's been looking for has been with her all along?

FOR REVIEW
Goddess Girls Medusa the Mean by Joan Holub & Suzanne Williams

Medusa wants to be more like her two sisters and the other kids at Mount Olympus Academy -- immortal. Is that too much to ask? As one of the few mortals at MOA, it's hard not to get jealous when you're surrounded by beautiful, powerful goddessgirl and godboy classmates. And it isn't easy making friends either, especially when you have snakes for hair and one mean reputation!

When Medusa discovers an ad in her Teen Scrollizine for the IMMORTALIZER, a necklace that promises immortality, this looks like it could be her best shot at the two things she covets most: 1) to be as popular as the four most popular goddessgirls--Athena, Aphrodite, Persephone, and Artemis; and 2) to have her supercrush, Poseidon, finally notice her. But when the necklace brings about popularity in the totally wrong way, things go from bad to worse and Medusa fears that she'll never get the things she wants so much.

Can this "meanie" turn it all around and prove that there's more to her that meets the eye?

Hearts that Survive: A Novel of the Titanic by Yvonne Lehman

On April 15, 1912, Lydia Beaumont is on her way to a new life with a boundless hope in love and faith. Her new friendship with Caroline Chadwick is bonded even more as they plan Lydia’s wedding on board the “grandest ship ever built.” Then both women suffer tragic losses when the “unsinkable” Titanic goes down. Can each survive the scars the disaster left on their lives?

Decades later, Alan Morris feels like a failure until he discovers he is the descendant of an acclaimed, successful, heroic novelist who went down with the Titanic. Will he find his identity with the past, or will he listen to Joanna Bettencourt, Caroline’s granddaughter, who says inner peace and success come only with a personal relationship with the Lord?

Will those who survived and their descendants be able to find a love more powerful than their pain?

  17. Nice books! I have Before I Fall on my shelf and keep meaning to read it, actually. And books about the Titanic?! LOVE. Love anything that has to do with the Titanic. Eek! I hope you like Jekel loves Hyde. I tried to read it last summer and couldn't really get that into it. I was thinking about giving it another shot, though. There was just a lot of stuff going on when I last tried to read it. Hope you enjoy all your books! :D

  20. I LOVED There'll You'll Find Me, so I hope you do to. The characters are human, which I think is one reason why I like them so much. I didn't like Wither. Just not really topics I enjoy (forced marriage and all that comes with it as well as such a depressing situation and I'm sensitive about babies - you'll understand when you read it). A lot of people really liked it though, so you may too. I'm looking forward to seeing your reviews for Before I Fall and the next Goddess Girls. :)
