S.R. Johannes is the author of award-winning and Amazon bestselling Untraceable (a teen wilderness thriller) and new tween paranormal, On The Bright Side. She has also published short novelettes as well as a teen romance anthology with 16 other authors titled, In His Eyes.  Uncontrollable, the sequel to Untraceable, was released in September 2012.

After earning an MBA and working in corporate America, S.R. Johannes traded in her expensive suits, high heels, and corporate lingo for a family, flip-flops, and her love of writing.  She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her dog, British-accented husband, and the huge imaginations of their little prince and princess, which she hopes- someday- will change the world.

Interview:
When you were little, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
This won’t come as a surprise to those who have read my books. But I wanted to be a marine biologist or Vet. I love animals.

What's the craziest writing idea you've had?
Originally Untraceable was about jihad terrorists hiding in the mountains. I know bad right?

Favorite Candy?
Dark chocolate or sno-Caps

What was your favorite children's book?
Pippy Longstocking

Nickname?
This is embarrassing but since I am among friends – some kids used to call me Smelly Yo-Anus. L kinda funny now but not funny when I was little.

Which authors have influenced you most how?
James Patterson in the way he keeps books pacy and writes his chapters on inverted conflict curves. James Hall and Carl Hiaasen in how they write about animals and conservation.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
The Boring Life of Sassy PantsJ

What's your favorite season/weather?
Definitely not SUMMER! Between hair and bathing suits and heat. I love the fall because I get to wear jeans and boots

How did you celebrate the sale of your first book?
Hm I think I was my first sale J So I bought a book.

Coffee brewing

I am afraid of the woods. Grace would be appalled!

As 16-year-old Grace recovers from tragedy, her science class is chosen by Agent Sweeney at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to help with research on the new "Red Wolf Reintroduction Program". 

While she’s excited about helping with the conservation of the endangered wolves, Grace knows this means being outdoors in the worst winter recorded, in a place she no longer feels comfortable.
