Change in the Way Winners are Announced

I love hosting giveaways but it does take me a lot of time.  I'm behind on drawing winners and on announcing winners.  The post I've been dong each week announcing winners takes me way too long to put together so I am no longer going to do it.  I've got 20 giveaways waiting to be posted but I need to close out the 20 giveaways that have ended in the past couple of weeks.  I've been trying to figure out a better system but haven't come up with one.
I've considered creating a page that lists all the winners but that is just one more thing to do and I'm trying to cut back on the amount of time I spend blogging.  For now I will be emailing the winner to let them know they won.  I will announce the winner by adding their name to the bottom of the giveaway post as I did for this giveaway:

  1. That's better than me. I don't even announce the winner... I just send them an e-mail. I know, lazy and I don't even host as many giveaways as you. =o)

  2. This seems like a good idea - streamline your life where you can.

  3. OMG, I couldn't do half of what you do! Think Linda's e-mail suggestion would save you a lot of time. Good luck!

  4. I mostly just email the winner. I try to mention most of the winners in my weekly summary, but I don't do nearly the number of giveaways you do. I think putting the winner at the bottom of the original post is a great idea. I think I'm going to start doing that.

  5. I've been using Rafflecopter and it's great! http://www.rafflecopter.com/I hit a button to select the winner (it also stores all their entry info so I can check to make sure they really did what they were supposed to, like tweeting). Another button opens up an email to let them know they have won, and then another button puts an announcement on the Rafflecopter widget (in the giveaway post). Easy peasy!

  6. The rafflecopter things sounds really convenient. I have a generic template that I copy and paste the winner's name into. I'm not sure if it would save you time though.
