Brinda lives in the southern US with her family and two spunky cairn terriers. She's the author of the Whispering Woods YA fantasy series. The Waiting Booth, Book #1, released last July. She's now celebrating the release of Whisper of Memory, Book #2, in this series. She’s terribly fond of chocolate, coffee, and books that take her away from reality.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
When I was little, I wanted to be a writer, teacher, actress, singer, boss, United Nations Ambassador, and ballet dancer. Now I can be any of those through writing fiction.
Favorite Food?
I love sweets. My favorites are chocolates, blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and cheesecake. It's too bad that these foods cannot comprise a nutrious food group.
What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?
I'm looking forward to seeing The Hunger Games soon. I also have Pandemonium on my to-be-read list, and I'm very excited about it.
Favorite places to travel?
I have two favorites: the Destin beach and Disney World. They are really polar opposites in the activities that you do when you visit them. When I'm at the beach, I do nothing but read and sleep. While at Disney World, I'm the scheduler who has every minute of the day planned with fun activities and great restaurants.
Favorite music?
My favorite band for several years has been Kings of Leon. I own every album and never get tired of listening to them.
Favorite smell?
I love to smell of a baby's head. Since they don't actually bottle that, I buy candles in White Linen and those clean laundry-type smells.
Hot or Cold?
I love to be hot. I take baths that are steamy, and I like my coffee that temperature as well.
Black or White?
I have a closet full of black pants, shirts, shoes, etc. The only problem is that I own cream colored dogs. I am too messy for white anything, whether it be clothing or furniture.
Print or Ebook?
I love reading eBooks on my iPad. I still love print books as well, but I've totally transitioned over to buying all digital.
Cats or Dog?
Is there even a debate? I have two cairn terriers (terrors) who make my life a great place.
Truth or Dare?
A missing boy, government agents, an interdimensional portal...
Mia has one goal for her senior year at Whispering Woods High—find her missing older brother. But when her science project reveals a portal into another dimension, she learns that travelers are moving in and out of her woods in the most alarming way and government agents Regulus and Arizona are policing their immigration. Mia’s drawn to the mysterious, aloof Regulus, but it’s no time for a crush. She needs to find out what they know about her brother, while the agents fight to save the world from viral contamination. But when Regulus reveals that he knows Mia’s secrets, she begins to wonder if there’s more going on than she thought...and if she was wrong to trust him...
Whisper of Memory
Weapons training and winter formals… a deadly combination
All Mia ever wanted was to fit in at Whispering Woods High. But being a portal-finder who dates a guy from another dimension sort of makes it hard. A month ago her brother disappeared, and agents from the IIA began policing people’s movements through dimensions. She’d trusted Dr. Bleeker from the local university when he’d told her the IIA were the bad guys. But even a girl with an extraordinary ability to sense things can make mistakes.
Now two people are dead, and as a portal gatekeeper for the IIA, Mia needs to find Dr. Bleeker before he hurts anyone else. And her boyfriend Regulus, an Agent for the IIA, carries secrets of his own. Between learning about weaponry, finding the perfect dress for the winter formal, and catching bad guys, who has time to fit in?
